How to reach Petrus? Simple, just follow our directions!
Our structure is easily reachable by car, train, ship and plane thanks to the connections with the main arrival points. Here are the main ways to reach us:
- By Train TERMINI STATION : it is easy to reach us by bus number 64 (in 30 minutes getting off at the Porta Cavalleggeri stop) or by train getting off at the SAN PIETRO stop (in 25 minutes).
- By Train TIBURTINA STATION: easily reachable by train by getting off at the SAN PIETRO stop
- By Plane CIAMPINO AIRPORT (low-cost flights): 45-minute drive 30km. You can reach us by the shuttle bus until Termini Station or by bus 520 until Cinecittà. After that, you can take the metro A (red line) until OTTAVIANO. Walk for around 15 minutes and you'll reach us. - By Plane FIUMICINO AIRPORT: near the BUS area just outside the exits of Terminal 3 – Arrivals (inside the airport please follow the direction “Bus Station”), you will find the SIT bus shuttle which will accompany you until Viale Crescenzio that is only 15 minutes away from the apartment. Here you can buy the tickets: https://gyg.me/5LWKzYqy Another cheap alternative is this: from the train station inside the airport take the regional train FL1 heading to Orte which for just 8,00€ connects the airport with downtown; get off at Trastevere Station and with the same ticket take the regional train FL3 /heading to Bracciano-Viterbo) or FL5 (heading to Civitavecchia) getting off at Roma San Pietro. - CIVITAVECCHIA PORT: 70 km (1h by car or train from San Pietro station). If you want you can take the shuttle bus from there to the city center. Buy the tickets here https://gyg.me/bQGmxS8d
BY CAR: If you do not have a GPS navigator, follow these directions and you won’t get lost!
- From North:
Take the city ring road (Grande Raccordo Anulare or G.R.A. on the signs) and get off at Exit 1, Via Aurelia going towards Roma downtown (on the street signs you’ll read: Roma Centro – Aurelio, Città del Vaticano, SS1 Aurelia). Follow Via Aurelia for about 5,5 Km until you reach Piazza San Giovanni Battista De La Salle (it is a big crossroads with traffic lights). Do not wait at the traffic light but rather turn right on the dedicated lane and take Via Gregorio VII, which you must follow for about 3 Km. When you see St. Peter’s Dome, slow down because immediately before passing under the railway bridge you will need to turn left (near a gasoline station) and come back along Via Aurelia road. Go around the building you see just after the bridge (there is a restaurant at the corner) and you’ll arrive at Sergio I road. Normally it’s easy to park, if you need a private parking lot let us know we can book one for you inside the building (the price is 20,00 euros per day).
- From South:
After the Rome South motorway toll booth (A1), continue until the Grande Raccordo Anulare, upon reaching which, turn left towards Fiumicino. Take the Raccordo until exit N°1 Aurelia towards central Rome – Vatican City. Continue on the Aurelia for 4.5 km then turn right onto the Circonvallazione Aurelia, towards Via Gregorio VII. After 400 meters there is a crossroads with traffic lights, here turn left into via Gregorio VII and continue past Piazza Pio XI, until you reach 2 bridges close to each other (one railway, the other masonry). After the brick bridge, count 3 traffic lights which are also close to each other and after the third turn left. At that point you will find yourself along the Via Aurelia. Follow the road, keeping to the right, until you reach the brick bridge again. Turn left. At the end of the road turn right. Follow the road for about 100 meters and take the first on the right. You have arrived at Via Sergio I.
- PRIVATE DRIVER
The quickest and most comfortable way to reach the apartment from the airports is by private car; at the price of €65.00 for up to four people with luggage and €75.00 for up to 6 people with luggage, the driver will wait for you at the arrivals gate inside the airport showing a sign with your name and will take you directly to the homes of Rome Holiday Houses.
Furthermore, we will be happy to provide you with all the information for transfers to and from train stations or from the port of Civitavecchia, trips around the city and out of the city.
